4 Month Pictures

After we did Jack's newborn pictures, we decided that we would do professional pictures at 4 months, 8 months, and 12 months during his first year. We did Jack's 4 month pictures today. I was really happy with how they came out. We went over to Portrait Innovations (I liked my friend Riann's pictures from there, so I thought I would try them out). I posted 6 of them here. 2 of Jack and Dave, 2 of my favorites, and 2 of Dave's favorites.

We really wanted to get a good one of Dave and Jack because we didn't have any from his newborn shots that we liked. I love both of these. The top one shows the way Dave is always playing with Jack. He loves to have Jack standing up.

I like Jack in the basket

Dave really liked this funny face

The background in this shot is actually Jack's baby blanket. Isn't he cute here!

This is Jack on his baby blanket. This is how he spends much of his time at home.

So I think I might put one up on the side of the blog. Let me know which is your favorite. For those of you who don't really blog and leave comments, you can email me :).

Bye Bye Walter Reed

Dave got an email today from the branch manager of the army physical therapists. Dave says: Amy, I need to read you this email from major Ortel. Ummmmm, ok. I know that 4 people in dave's class have already gotten these emails saying that their assignments were changing. Never mind that we have a flight leaving tomorrow morning to go look at places to live. Dave proceeds to say that we are not going to Walter Reed but rather Fort Belvoir.
Fort Belvoir is only 15 miles from Walter Reed but is on the Viriginia side instead of the Maryland side. The best part of it all (for me) is that we will be right near everyone we know there!! We will know four families that all live very close to Fort Belvoir. Also, Dave will get to be the Assistant Clinic Chief. ALSO, the current Clinic Chief is slotted to become the next branch manager. Maybe Dave can get in good with her - haha.
I am so so so so so so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here We Are

Here we are. First a serious (i mean a real smile) picture and then a silly (i mean a silly smile) one. Jack now fits into all his 3-6 month clothes. These rocking horse pajamas are one of my favorites.

Moving

For some reason this week it really hit me. We ARE moving in two months. I really don't want to give up all the wonderful things in San Antonio. It is such a great situation for us.
This week Jack had his two month appointment. FYI, Jack is now over 13 pounds and almost 25 inches. I walked out thinking about what a great experience I have had in this hospital. I had great care during my pregnancy, and the pediatric clinic has been wonderful as well. Will we have that when we move?
I met some friends for lunch on friday. We ate pizza. I love pizza and I love having "pizza friends." Will I have that when we move?
We are going out to DC next weekend to look for a house, and then it will really be time to start going through our stuff and packing. The whole thing is starting to make me feel overwhelmed.
I know that I have so much to look forward to - dave won't deploy, we have family and friends living there, and there is so much to do and see in DC. I know that once we move it will be great, I just have a hard time leaving things.
