California

The continuing education class that Dave decided to take this year was in the San Diego area. We decided to make a trip out of it. We spent the first few days in Carlsbad, CA. My goal was to go for a walk at the beach as much as possible. I did it almost every day!!

One day while Dave was in class, I got to spend the day with my friend Danielle. It was my first time meeting her sweet baby girl, Abigail.

Baby Abigail and the twins. Danielle put her down between the twins and they just started reaching out and touching her. My boys know a pretty girl when they see one :)

Danielle lives a block from this beautiful beach

The twins first beach day! It was about 70 degrees. I had the twins in onsies and little shorts. Danielle had Abigail in full sweats. For someone who lives in California - that's cold! I was missing a snow storm and thought it was amazing outside :)

I know the lighting is bad, but here is Danielle and Abigail. I knew Danielle would be an amazing mother. It was fun to see it first hand.

We spent a few days visiting Dave's family. Unfortunately, the twins had gotten sick the day before we left for California. They didn't get to show off their cuteness in the first part of the trip because they weren't feeling well. Dave's mom helped entertain Jack and take care of the babies. We got to go run at the nearby lake while she watched the kids.

Dave's parents have chickens. Jack loved getting to help feed them. I enjoyed one of their eggs each morning.

This is Jack with his cousin Brooklyn. She was so great with him! She always made sure he had a toy and she taught him how to jump on the trampoline.

Our last stop was my parents' house. It was so great. My parents helped take care of the kids and even sent me off one day to get my hair and nails done. It was heaven.  My mom even took the twins at night so I could get some sleep. My brother Chris took time out of his busy work schedule to come down a couple of times. I finally got to meet his girlfriend, Sarah. She is amazing! I'm so glad that my brother has found someone wonderful to be in his life. My parents watched the kids one night so we could go out to a nice dinner with them.

Jack didn't get the word "uncle" so he said Apple Chris

Sarah's Mom came out one day to meet us all. I loved getting to meet her and she was great with the kids

Many trips to In N Out

So much fun! That had to be a great trip:) It was good to see pics of your families. I often think about my trip with y'all. Funny...I even mentioned something to my friend last night about the cookie dough cheesecake I had on the trip. It looks like everyone is well. Your brother's girlfriend is so pretty! Glad you got to visit with your friend too. Abigail is a good name!! I can't wait to have Nick go to In N Out one day. I was having a convo about that place the other day with someone:-P Miss ya!
