Outter Banks

In keeping with our tradition of trying a new beach each summer, we headed out to North Carolina's Outter Banks a few weeks ago. It was awesome! We went with our friends Tim and Carly who just left for their 3 year Army tour in Italy. I'm greatful we got to spend so much time with them before they left.
The Outter Banks hosts some beautiful beaches, light houses, the Wright Brothers Memorial, and a horse beach (but we did not make it there).  We rented a house that was perfect for eating meals and doing laundry. The best part was that it had a hot tub. After the kids went to bed we would hang out in the hot tub and feel the night's ocean breeze. Let me tell you, it was heaven.
Here are some pictures.

I think this may show up on a Christmas card somewhere :)

A little too bright, but here we are!

Jack has been talking about flying this kite again since last summer

This is where the Wright brothers did their first flights

The fun part is that we brought those chairs all the way down there, just for that picture. Because that's about how long everyone sat in them. :)

That picture makes dragging those chairs out there totally worth it! Adorable!
