Cape Cod

Jack, Kate, and I met my now offical sister-in-law, Sarah, in Cape Cod a few weeks ago. Dave had to work so he stayed back with the twins. My very generous mom came out to help take care of the twins while Dave was at work.  So the three of us were off to have a great time knowing everyone was taking care of.
We had so much fun! The trip started with a whale watching expedition from Provincetown on the tip of Cape Cod. We got really close to all kinds of whales.

Here Jack is explaining to me the difference between the tail and the flipper. He is becoming quite the animal enthusiast

Many, many hours at the beach

My Little Mermaid

Last year, Jack would bearly even put his toes in the water. This year, I took Jack to swim lessons everyday for the two weeks leading up to the trip because I know we would being going back to this amazing pool. He did awesome with his "wings" (aka floaties)

Last year, the fish pier was a huge hit. We had to go back and it was a beautiful.

There was lots of yummy food

Lobster rolls and fried clams
We did a lobster dinner at the house one night.

picking out our lobster

Yum!
Sarah is a veteran crab hunter. Jack is doing his best to learn her ways

Jack was happy that his trip was filled with sea creatures

he actually caught this "snake"

some kids at the pier taught him how to hold a crab

extra practice

playing with his lobster before cooking it

Even Kate got in on it too :)

These pictures are amazing. Kate is such a smiley, little, chubby, sweet, adorable pumpkin. I can't get over her. What a fun exploratory trip for Jack. I'm sure it was great to have a one-to-one adult/kid ratio for a little while. Miss you guys!

Sooo jealous about all the lobster you ate. I love it and I'm sure it was very good. My favorite pic was of Kate in the sand. What a neat idea. How did you get her to stay still:-P
