4 Weeks?

I took this picture on my phone. I love these guys :). Is it possible that the twins are 4 weeks old as of yesterday? Dave went back to work this week. Taking care of my three boys is a lot of work, but things are going better than I excepted. I'm not feeling overwhelmed .... yet.

The photographer sent our proofs. This link is too a slide show she made if you are interested in seeing them all. I don't know how long she will leave it up. http://www.littlemoonphotography.com/boland/

Bye Bye NICU

The twins had to go 5 days in the NICU without an event. Once they able to eat on their own, it was a hard five days to wait because we were ready to bring them home!! We thought they were coming home on Monday morning, but the NICU doctor called on Sunday and told us we could come get them. That was a great surprise!
These little guys are so sweet, and Jack has been amazing with them. On the way home from the hospital he turned to Tim and said "you're mine." He talks to them, waves hi, gives them kisses, and asks to stand on a step stool so he can look over the pack n play to watch them sleep. I love it!
We had a photographer come to the house on Wednesday to do newborn pictures. She gave me one as a sneak peak that I put over on the side of the blog. I'm excited to see the rest.

Busting the twins out of the NICU!
We got these awesome coming home outfits from a seller on ebay. I have gotten so many nice complements!
These guys sleep A LOT

The Twins Are Here!

Here is my family of 5! The twins thought about joining us on Monday the 19th. I was checked into the hospital and given drugs to stop the contractions long enough for me to get two steriod injections. Then on Thursday the 22nd we had Timothy Foss Boland and Christopher Edward Boland. Labor went very smoothly and they came only 7 minutes apart. They were born 33 weeks and 6 days into pregnancy which means they both have to spend some time in the NICU. Tim has been a super star and Chris had a few minor issues the first few days but is doing well now. As of yesterday, they are both doing everything on their own except eating.

Fortunately my parents were here when I checked into the hospital for a week. They have been watching Jack and taking care of everything so I didn't have anything else to worry about while I was in the hospital. They have also made it possible for me to spend 4-5 hours a day at the NICU. I don't know what would have happened without them.

July Festivities

July is always a fun month. This year, I have to keep things pretty low key because I get tired and can't walk very far. We still managed to have a lot of fun in the past week!

We went on a moonlight monument cruise with our friends Peter and Riann

We went to Belvoir with Dave's brother and family for fireworks on the 4th. It was actually a really good show!

We had a few people over and grilled steaks for Dave's birthday

Twins Update

I am 31 weeks pregnant now. Everything is going well although I'm really starting to slow down. The babies are almost 4 pounds now, head down, and no sign of any complications. Until now, I have been going 3 times a month to the doctors at the Natinoal Naval Medical Center (Bethesda). Next week, I start going in 3 times a week until I deliver. It will be a lot of driving, but it's nice to have good care.

Some friends through me a nice baby shower

The cake was amazing

I got some really amazing gifts for the twins

Dave took this picture of me in front of a picture of me pregnant with Jack. Every week I get a lot bigger. I'm already bigger than I ever was last time.

Here are the babies at the 28 week ultra sound (I get a level 2 high resolution ultra sound every three weeks). Pictures above are Baby A both 2D and 3D and the pictures below are Baby B

Jack's New Toy

My parents sent Jack a little motor cycle. Jack calls it a "car" and as you can see he is very excited about it :)
