Wedding

After visiting my parents in southern California, we headed up to Loomis California for my college friend Ryan's (pictured above) wedding. Dave met us out there. It was a beautiful wedding in the park and lovely reception. As an added bonus, we got to see several good college friends and a few people that I haven't seen in years.

They set up a photo booth for guests to take pictures at. Isn't that a cute idea!

California Trip

We got to spend almost two weeks out in California while Dave studied for his licensing exam. He passed and we are glad to have that behind us. Good job Dave :).
My parents did a lot of playing with and feeding Jack so that I could run, eat, shower, or nap. It was such a nice break! I took Jack down to see Dave's family (that lives in southern California). We also got to see my friend Danielle a few times.

This is Jack with his cousin Brooklyn. He was instantly capitivated by her. He followed Brooklyn all around her house and wanted to do whatever she was doing. Jack is around other babies and kids all the time, but he has never done that before.

Summer Fun

Dave and I went through our summer pictures a few days ago and backed them up on our external hard drive. I found a few pictures that never got posted.

It was so bright that I could hardly keep my eyes open, but here we are at the Washington Monument. Dave put the camera on a tripod, and I think it came out well!

We took a little day trip to Annapolis and saw the Naval Academy, St Johns College, the cute little town full of shops, took a harbor cruise (pictured), and had some yummy Maryland crab.

And now I'm off to California for 10 days so that Dave can study for his board exam.

Concert

My friend Carolyn and I met at the American Idol concert in Baltimore this past week. Carolyn was the first friend I made at Fort Campbell, and we used to watch American Idol together. Balitmore is only a little over an hour away from each of us. It was really fun!

New Toys

I am finding that Jack has outgrown most of his infant toys. We found these, hand made in the USA, wood toys at a little toy store in Cape May. Who can resist that? The stack of rings is what I thought Jack would take too, but we thought the tractor was was so "little boy" that we had to get it too. They are Jack's two favorite toys at the moment. I even find myself playing with them a little bit too, hehe.

I wasn't expecting Jack to wheel the tractor around on the ground yet. He figured it out rather quickly and has been wheeling it around ever since.

He wheels it all around the house. Dave and I think it's one of the cutest things he does because when I was pregnant we had visions of our little boy wheeling his car around the house. He really is our dream come true :)

Jack has been pulling up onto EVERYTHING. We got him this play table to pull up on. He was all over this table before I could even get it put together. It's a big hit, that's for sure.

Lately, when it gets a little too quite, I will look over and see Jack pulling all the clean clothes out of the laundry basket. He must know he isn't supposed to do that because he will start crawling away as soon as I see him.
