4th of July Weekend

We had a nice 4th of July weekend.

Thursday was Dave's last day at Fort Belvoir's PT Clinic. They had a nice going away party for him at a Japanese hibachi restaurant. I'm sad to see this job end because it was the PERFECT first assignment for Dave. I know how much he loved working there. As a spouse, I couldn't have asked for more - he came home happy everyday, they didn't make any demands on him outside of normal working hours, and they paid for both his licensing exam and OCS exam. Dave will now be working at the Pentagon as the Clinic Chief.

Friday we went to the National Archives. It was a beautiful day to head downtown. Those with military IDs get to skip the line which was awesome. We saw an original copy of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Very worthwhile trip!

On the 4th we went to a fun little parade in the morning and the Fort Belvoir fireworks show at night.

I dressed the boys in red, white, and blue. I was surprised at how many people noticed!

Jack needed 3 flags to cheer

Picnic with some friends

Dave and Chris. Can you see that Dave has straight teeth? He's almost done with invisiline :)
