Jack

Taken on Daddy's birthday while distracted by cake
It seems like I only blog about the twins these days. I know the reason is that Jack pretty much won't let us take pictures of him. So this post is about my Jack. While he still has a love of all sports, he has discovered a love of dinosaurs and building towers (blocks or legos). Is he a boy? We aren't really sure :). While he still loves veggies, his new favorite food is raspberries. He also loves to help his mom and dad. He wants to vacuum around the babies' high chairs and help me cook. He loves to help daddy go running by sitting in the stroller and holding a flash light.

A few stories:

I needed a nap the other day and took the kids into my room with me. I woke up to the babies crying because it was time for them to eat. As I was sitting up, Jack says "I got it. Go back to sleep." I continued to get up and noticed that Jack had a box of formula. "Close your eyes" he said. I look over and the babies each have a scoop of formula on them.

While we drive, he comments on the cutest things. Yesterday we drove by some construction. "What a mess" he said. "Oh good, that car got a shovel to clean it up." So cute!!

I found a baby girl dress and put it up against Chris to see how it would look. I hear Jack behind me "NO! He does NOT like that." Way to protect your little brother :)

I found someone to come in and watch the kids when I need to do something. The first time she came, Jack grabbed her hand and took her into the playroom. He litterally took her through all of his toys. "This is the t-rex, this is the zebra, this is my motorcycle ....." I just about died.

Something cute happens everyday. I feel so lucky that I really do take the time to pause and enjoy it :)

So cute! It's still hard to believe that he's old enough to do and say all of those things! I hope we can get together one of these days.

Amy, this is a great post! Good job sitting down to write about Jack. I love the little anecdotes (esp the formula scoops!) lol.
You will both be grateful to recall these cute stories years from now. :) That's what I tell myself when I need to get back to blogging. These are going to be our memories in the future!
